The curse of youth

Being young isn't that bad. Except that taste and opinion tastes change quickly. For example my URL. Three years ago, (or however long ago it was I created this blog) I thought the URL was pretty nifty. It was about me, loving books, and easy to remember.
Now, I think it's cheesy. And too long. I would love to simplify it, shorten it, sweeten it up a bit. I'm not sure exactly what to, but something.
I set a goal for myself today. Don't punch (gentle punches. It's a thing I do.) any of my friend. In mock annoyance or flirting. I had to narrow it down to one guy in particular. I couldn't do all of them, it was too hard to remember. And even then I slipped up twice. Sad. So, I'm doing it again tomorrow to try to break my habit. I gently sock them waaaay too often. It's how I express myself I guess. They think it's hilarious to watch me try. I'm the silly one. And I'm ok with that. Except for sometimes. So, no more punching. Maybe.

H2O Madness

As my fb status says *clearing throat* positively, absolutely, NEVER drink a liter of water in under a minute again. EVER. ITS A HORRIBLE, LIFE CHANGING IDEA. I had to go to the bathroom like three times after doing so in less than 90 minutes. And my stomach hurt.
Lesson for the day: don't forget you need to empty a water bottle for class and then remember during the few minutes before class starts. Or ASK what you are using the bottle for. Because we never ended up using them. We don't need them yet.
That's just my luck.

A late Mockingjay

I promised a book review of Mockingjay, sorry it is so late. Now that school has started I am extremely busy. I finished the book quite a while ago, so lets see how this goes.
I thought the book was a very good ending. The author ( I can't remember her name) is a wonderful writer, and whoever Katniss would have ended up with I would have been satisfied with. She's just that kind of writer. I was very sad about all the characters that died, some of my favorites were killed off. But I appreciated that she didn't end the book with an "and they all lived happily ever after". Because no one would after what Katniss had experienced. I'm glad the author didn't make everything all better, she made it realistic. All of Katniss's breakdowns would have happened to any one after such an ordeal. And I have to say I loved that she wasn't a perfect, happy, nice person. She was a real person with real struggles and faults. I loved that Coin died too. I didn't like her very much. The only thing I can think of that I didn't like was that Katniss let her kids play on the group grave. Even though the children didn't realize what it was I would have been too disturbed to let my children play there, knowing old friends were under my kids feet. That's a little creeepppyyyy.
I've been feverishly working on my book since school started. I have a hard time doing my homework I slave over it so much, actually. I just really, really, really, really, really like to write. Especially Gray Eyes.

120th post

I have to say, I don't find it easy to come up with a title for my posts. So I just made this one the post number. Nice and simple. School has been....... school. It's going to be a lot of work, but hopefully I will feel like it's worth the effort. And that at least some of it will be fun. For one of my classes I might be able to include my book reviews as part of it. We'll see. I'll be talking about Mockingjay (last Hunger Games book) as soon as I finish it. Luckily I have a really amazing friend who let me be the first person to borrow it after he finished. Thank you Darrell!!!!!!! I'm very excited about it.
