Insight

So I learned somethings about myself this week.
1.) I need a schedule to keep myself busy. Without one I crumble to bits and don't do anything. I will regret it later.
2.) My phone is whacked out. I didn't get texts sent at 9 am until like 6 pm, thus missing amazing sledding parties.
3.) I should have been an ice skater/dancer/ninja. I love ice skating and the elegance of dancing. And being a ninja is just cool. I've always wanted to have super fighting skills.
4.) I love the Princess and the Frog movie. Very cute.

Snow Day Number Two

The weather must love Nathan. It gave us a snow day, just for his birthday. The last no school day was technically because of a huge wind storm, but I'm counting it as number two because I can. Seeing as how we've had two days off in two weeks (both on Tuesday I might add) it makes me wonder..... how many are we going to have? It's only November.
As much as I like not having to sit through boring, time-wasting classes, I'd rather not have to make them up later. So please, not too many snow days.
Even though I love them.

Harry Potter 7 Part one

I went and saw this at the midnight release with my friends. Well, 12:10. The theater was having two showings. My parents thought I was crazy for wanting to go wait in line for longer than the movie's span on a school night. But, since I'm a senior (scary!) they decided to let me make my own choice about it. So I went. What teenager would miss out on that opportunity! It's a whole experience of its own to see a movie late at night.
We waited in line playing scum and munching on candy and ice cream. Not that you munch on ice cream. It was more like slurping ice cream flavored liquid after a while. But still yummy. The line grew behind us until the moment when the doors opened letting us in to watch the much anticipated movie. Our group hurried so that we could all sit together. We took up a whole row. A few of us promptly sat down on the floor to play Uno, one of the best games ever invented. We sang to a commercial too. It played 9 times before the previews started, according to a very annoyed friend. Our poor town is so small that it has only like 5 commercials. So every time you go to a movie its the same ones. This particular one has a catchy tune where a guy is surrounded my moving furniture, ending in a random smile/laugh close up of the guy. Strange. But entertaining to sing to.
Harry potter was a good movie, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had been afraid that it would end abruptly or on an annoying cliff hanger like Pirates of the Caribbean 2. I didn't like the next one anyways. But HP did a wonderful job of ending suspensefuly without making you want to throw your phone through the screen. I wonder if anyone has ever done something like that. It would be very entertaining, but only if it was at the end of the movie. I would be annoyed if they did it at the beginning. I doubt the manager would be as entertained as I.

Stormy night

Last night was very stormy. Strong, fast winds, rain, and I think hail. It woke me up actually. In my fuzzy sleep-deprived mind I wondered what would happen if my window blew in. At first I thought I would run out of the room and shut the door. But, wait, I realized all my things would be ruined. I love my books too much for that. So I imagined myself holding my blankets up against he broken window for the rest of the night. Strange thoughts, I know. This was running through my head at 2 in the morning.
I had just started to fall asleep again when a friend texted me. He was letting me know that he wouldn't be going to seminary the next morning (we carpool) because of the late night. I was annoyed and looked at my clock (don't ask me why.) my clock was dead. The power was out. So I set my phone alarm.
Five in the morning another friend texts and asks if my power is back on yet. I don't reply. I'm trying to SLEEP!!!!!! It's not working so well.
5:45 (my normal wake up time) I get into the shower and text her back. Yes my power is on, yes it is flickering. As I am blow drying my hair ANOTHER person texts me, saying that school is canceled. I run up stairs to the computer to see if this is true. Rumors and all. I open the laptop. Lights go off. Darn.
I sit around for a while, hoping its only a flicker and they will turn back on. Nope, they stay off. I text a few friends to see if they know if we have school. The only place I have service is on the fourth step of my stairs. No idea why. I get the no school confirmed and thankfully crawl back into bed.
6:30. I get text after text telling me school is out. Yeah. yipee. Who hoo. NOW LET ME SLEEP!!!!!
I eventually slept in until 9.
Oh the joy of texting.
Moral of the story: this is EXACTLY why I normally turn my phone off at night.

IT has begun.

Winter has started. We went to church this morning, a slight drizzle was darkening the sky. When we came out of church, it was completely fogged over. Yuck. I expect snow tomorrow.
But, this week can't possibly be a bad week. Because Harry Potter 7 part one comes out. AND I GET TO SEE THE MIDNIGHT RELEASE!!!!! I'm very excited. I'm going with a group of friends, we were lucky to get quite a few tickets. I can't wait.

Woolley life

Today we had Stake Conference. It was a wonderful meeting, the spirit was very strong. The visiting authority was very interactive compared to a normal story. He had the stake pres. call teen boys from the audience to read the scripture story of Meshak, Shadrack and Abindago (spelling is probably very different) and then talk about it a little bit. I did feel bad for the boys though, they looked very nevous. I started getting nervous myself, thinking he might call up some girls too. He had the stake president do something too along with his wife. It was a little bit of an unorthadox talk, but it was very good, he kept everyone's interest.
We spend the weekend at a basketball tournament for Annica's team. They played pretty well. Between two of her games all the kids but Annica (she had to stay with the team) went to see Megamind. It was a cute movie with a good moral, something that always surprises me a little seeing as how bad most movies are. I suggest seeing it to those who love a good cartoon.
